Green Trails in Thrissur
The walls of Sukrutham are made of the very earth they stand on, mixed by Murali himself from raw laterite stone and mud plaster so the house could literally breathe. He wanted to see what happens when you build this homestead deep within Thrissur’s paddy fields and coconut groves as a living experiment in radical simplicity. Murali isn’t just a host, but a custodian of a vanishing pace of life, ready to pull up a chair and untangle local histories over a cup of tea, if your curiosity makes its way.
Living here today means adjusting your internal clock to the movement of the wind through the fields. The experience centers around the raw, sunlit warmth of the Paddy and Tapioca rooms, opening out onto a wide verandah where you eat traditional Kerala meals harvested just steps away. You might spend a few hours at the hearth learning the slow alchemy of wood-fired cooking, or simply sit still as the afternoon fades into the trees. It is a home that completely strips away the performative weight of travel, leaving you with nothing to do but exist alongside the land.

Room Overview:
The country home, built in the traditional Kerala style, has a central open courtyard that lets the outdoors in. The ground floor, where the guest rooms and kitchen are located, looks out onto the farm, while Murali stays upstairs.
The two rooms at Sukrutham, the Paddy Room and the Tapioca Room, are intimate, earthy, and filled with natural light. Handcrafted furniture and soft colors create a feeling of balance and ease.

Price Description: The price is for Double Occupancy and includes all taxes and accommodation with the following meals. This pricing is dynamic and may vary during Weekends, Public Holidays and Peak Season so please call us to get the latest quote.

Extra Note: Additional activities like traditional cooking classes or Ayurvedic treatments can be arranged at extra cost. Only traditional Kerala cuisine is served, anything else requires prior intimation. Specify your preferences 48 hours before check-in.

Raahghar Payment Terms: Reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be made 7 days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy (Indian Passport Holders Only):
In case of a cancellation due to any unforeseen circumstance a credit note will be issued by the property to the guest for the amount paid till date.
The credit note will be valid for use within one year from the period of booking. The guest can redeem the credit note against the amount of any future booking within a year and pay the balance if any as per the rates applicable on that date. This credit note is also transferable and can be used by the guest/transferee only once within the stipulated date.

The farmstay is in a quiet rural area with limited mobile network on the way, making it a bit difficult to reach without prior coordination. Guests are advised to contact the host in advance and arrange transport from nearby towns. Roads may be narrow and uneven.
Built using locally sourced laterite stone and mud plaster, keeping interiors naturally cool and reducing energy use.
Most ingredients used in meals are sourced directly from the organic farm and orchard on the property.
The home was personally conceptualized and built by the host, inspired by traditional Kerala design principles.
