A house built by his son was turned into a homestay by the father, Balachandran to utilise the vacant space. The satisfying experience of being the host of Namaha homestay, since 2015, has been a pleasant surprise to him!
The home and interiors are designed by their family friend & architect Tony Joseph, keeping in mind that every corner has a personalised touch and is filled with old photographs & wonderful memories.
It is one of the only 100% vegetarian homestays in Wayanad and the meals served are traditional Kerala-style. The spices used are homemade and fresh herbs are grown at the property garden. Often the guests at Namaha join the chef in the kitchen & learn some traditional recipes & cooking techniques.
Balachandran is always at the property while his son and daughter visit twice a year. He also sometimes accompanies the guests for tea garden walks, sightseeing & local shopping.

The stay has four spacious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and a private balcony.
The property offers four beautifully appointed, spacious bedrooms designed for comfort and privacy. Each room features a king-size bed, an attached bathroom with a cubicle shower, and a separate dressing area. Private balconies and recessed lounge spaces create relaxed corners to unwind. Additional beds for children can be arranged when required.

Price Description: The price is for double occupancy and includes all taxes and accommodation with the following meals mentioned below.
Meals: Breakfast (✓), Lunch (✓), Dinner (✓)
Extra Note: The first and only Class A – Diamond House homestay (rated by the Department of Tourism – Government of Kerala)
Third Person/Child: Extra Person: - Rs.4000/- (15 years and above) No extra cost for children up to 15 years of age .
Raahghar Payment Terms: Reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be made 7 days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy (Indian Passport Holders Only):
In case of a cancellation due to any unforeseen circumstance a credit note will be issued by the property to the guest for the amount paid till date.
The credit note will be valid for use within one year from the period of booking. The guest can redeem the credit note against the amount of any future booking within a year and pay the balance if any as per the rates applicable on that date. This credit note is also transferable and can be used by the guest/transferee only once within the stipulated date.
