Where Forest Lingers
If we were to ask what true passion looks like, for Mickey, Marina and Meher Sidhu, it’s a quiet mix of reclaimed lineage and the patient art of fishing. Mickey has spent twenty-two years on the banks of the Saryu & Ramganga rivers running 'The Himalayan Outback;, and has setup 'Antler Woods' with that same nature-first soul, where the outdoors isn't a view, but the main event. This beautifully landscaped lodge is designed entirely by Marina and managed by their daughter, Meher. It is a piece of the past brought home, a former Shikaar lodge belonging to their ancestors that the family simply couldn't resist bringing back into the family.
When our owners aren't present to welcome you, we have Sundar Rawat keeping the rhythm of the house, the manager, who has been part of the family for over 15 years. He’s always there with a smile, ensuring that the transition from the wild to the hearth is seamless, and whether you’re in the upper rooms, where the terrace stretches deep into the forest canopy, or the lower suite designed for a family to stay close, you’ll feel it growing on you. Their front porch is not something to be missed, spend your evenings in leisure there, as you aren’t just booking a stay, you’re stepping into a family’s love letter to the wild.
The accommodation is split into two distinct blocks, designed to let the forest in. The Upper Block features two cozy rooms that share a massive viewing terrace, placing you directly in the canopy for slow mountain mornings. If you’re traveling as a group, the Lower Suite offers a generous, connected space that perfectly fits as a family of four then.
