Amaryllis Farmstay is a green nature sanctuary, nestled among the lush, rich landscape of the Wayanad Hills. Overlooking the verdant valley, reservoir, and hills, the view from the grounds is what made Ranjini and Victor Dey fall in love with the place and build their family home at this location back in 2008.
Having worked on various plantations from a young age, Victor and Ranjini have been hosting friends and family for many years. It was a natural progression for them to then open up their own house as a homestay. In fact, Amaryllis is sort of a pioneer of Homestays in Wayanad. At Amaryllis, the garden is a veritable treasure trove of flora and a variety of spices, fruits, and vegetables across the grounds. The homestay also gets its name from the first plant that Victor and Ranjini planted on this land. The living areas are all aesthetically done up and filled with art and curios from their travels. The rooms in the main house are spacious and comfortable, some boasting spectacular views. You even have the option of staying in a tree house! There is a wonderful infinity pool with incredible views of the Western Ghats. The food is a delightful mix of regional and international flavors which Ranjini personally prepares. The charming hosts love having conversations with guests and often the dinner hours can stretch late over a drink or two. The four family pet dogs - Sultan, Amigo, Khimchi, and Jackie will certainly make you feel at home even if you are not so much of a dog person. A stay at Amaryllis is tailor-made for connecting with nature amongst warm hospitality.
Amaryllis has a collection of different types of rooms suited for all tastes. From the expansive terrace suite overlooking the dam backwaters to the rustic yet classy tree houses which will give you a feel of staying in the forest. The rooms have simple yet tasteful furnishings and have a very cozy appeal.
Located on the upper floor the Terrace Suite is an elegant room with a view of the Karapuzha Reservoir meandering through the countryside, with the verdant hills beyond. The ensuite bathroom has a luxurious shower cubicle and spacious Jacuzzi, separated from the magnificent view by a wall of glass.

Built at a height of 35 feet and encompassing two trees, this wooden Tree House is accessed from a gradually inclined walkway that paves the way to the tree house. This treehouse comes with twin bathrooms and can take extra beds.

Located at the lower end of the property and a few minutes walk up the driveway is the TreeHouse, Poinsettia. This treehouse is at a height of 25 feet on the North Face. With walls of bamboo and a wooden floor, it includes a wide verandah and a spacious bathroom.

Adjacent to the main house is the Annexe, Strelitzia – named after the flower (Bird of Paradise) that is planted in the center of the large lawn facing the room. The theme is wood i.e. paneling, floor, dressing table, etc. It also comes with a private sit-out.

Calliandra is at the entrance to the main house, looking onto the garden on one side, and on the other, an internal courtyard, with the relaxing sounds of water from a waterfall. The furniture in this room is entirely old-world rosewood. The room has access through the dining area.

This cozy room is on the ground floor, next to the lounge and near the swimming pool. It is smaller in size compared to others, but it offers the same panoramic view through the bay windows. You can enjoy the outdoors sitting under the garden umbrella on the lovely lawn just outside your door.

Raahghar Payment Terms: Reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be made 7 days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy (Indian Passport Holders Only):
In case of a cancellation due to any unforeseen circumstance a credit note will be issued by the property to the guest for the amount paid till date.
The credit note will be valid for use within one year from the period of booking. The guest can redeem the credit note against the amount of any future booking within a year and pay the balance if any as per the rates applicable on that date. This credit note is also transferable and can be used by the guest/transferee only once within the stipulated date.

Calicut (Kozhikode) International Airport is about 100 km from Amaryllis, or a 3 hour drive away.
Calicut (Kozhikode) station is about 97 km away and is a 2 ½ hr drive from Amaryllis. Mysore Station is about 120 km away and is 2 ½ hr drive from Amaryllis.
Amaryllis is easily accessible by road at driving time of not more than 3 to 4 hours from Mysore or Calicut.
A beautiful personal bar carved out of rosewood with Victor’s collection of bottles of alcohol from around the world matches any museum collection.
