The road winds down from the state highway, and as you enter the parking area, you are greeted by either Mustafa or Mansi, your hosts at the Marchula estate. The 4x4 drive to the property crosses the Ramganga River, and you immediately realize that this is a special place even before one of them points out their home across the water. A home spread over two acres of a hill slope greets you, and almost always, one of their pet dogs does too. The accommodation is spread out, the main house has three rooms, and the other three are independent cottages that need a little hike up. All the rooms are named after the native trees of the region, and there is a charm of its own to checking into the cottages, the higher you go, the better the views.
The dinner call is usually the fragrance of a Pahadi dish in the making, served with soulful conversations with the hosts. The low-light philosophy creates an intimate setting that feels at one with the surroundings, especially as the night comes in. Mountain trails, river walks, and a safari in Corbett are all things that one enjoys during a stay, but many come back talking about just a feeling. When you first step inside, you are right in the heart of the house, an open, unhurried kitchen and dining space. It’s built for slow mornings and the coffee brews while you watch the fog clear over the tree line. There is a large central table that naturally becomes the gathering point, bridging the gap between a shared homemade meal and the wild landscape right outside the glass. Just beyond this common area are three independent rooms, inside, the walls give way to massive windows that frame the forest and mountains rather than just viewing them, offering a seamless connection to the wild from a place of deep, quiet comfort.

Raahghar Payment Terms: Reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be made 7 days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy (Indian Passport Holders Only):
In case of cancellation due to any unforeseen circumstance, the property will issue a credit note to the guest for the amount paid till date.
The credit note will be valid for use within one year from the period of booking. The guest can redeem the credit note against the amount of any future booking within a year and pay the balance if any as per the rates applicable on that date. This credit note is also transferable and can be used by the guest/transferee only once within the stipulated date.
If the credit note is not redeemed within one year from the original date of booking, it will automatically become null and void.
The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport, about 3–4 hours by road from Marchula Estate. The major hub is Delhi International Airport, from where you can take a connecting flight to Pantnagar or travel by road in 6–7 hours.
The nearest railway station is Ramnagar Railway Station, about 1–1.5 hours by road. The major rail hub is Kathgodam Railway Station, located 94 km away, around 2.5 hours by road.
Easily accessible by road from Delhi in 6 hrs with Nainital being the closest tourist destination.
