Tucked into the orchard-lined slopes of Kotgarh, Saroga Woods is the story of a life thoughtfully reimagined. Anuradha and Kartik once lived in Singapore, working in the fast-paced worlds of media and branding. In 2012, drawn by the quiet pull of the mountains, they left city life behind and built their home in the peaceful village of Saroga, overlooking the snow-capped Himalayas.
Here they founded Kotgarh Fruit Bageecha, crafting small-batch jams and preserves from the region’s finest fruits, keeping Himachal’s orchard heritage alive. Today, they welcome travellers into their warm hillside home, where mornings begin with valley views and breakfast often includes their handcrafted preserves. Their senior cat, Fatty, is part of the welcome committee, adding to the home’s easy, welcoming charm.

Price Description: The price is for Double Occupancy and includes all taxes and accommodation with the following meals.
Meals: Breakfast (✓), Lunch (₹) & Dinner (✓)
Third Person/Child: Extra Adult - Rs. 3000/-
Raahghar Payment Terms: Reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be made 7 days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy (Indian Passport Holders Only):
In case of a cancellation due to any unforeseen circumstance a credit note will be issued by the property to the guest for the amount paid till date.
The credit note will be valid for use within one year from the period of booking. The guest can redeem the credit note against the amount of any future booking within a year and pay the balance if any as per the rates applicable on that date. This credit note is also transferable and can be used by the guest/transferee only once within the stipulated date.

Shimla is closer but getting a flight might prove a futile effort. You can fly into Chandigarh, for a more convenient option.
The nearest railway station is Shimla. It is connected by a heritage train from Kalka which takes approximately 6 hours to reach Shimla.
From Chandigarh (via Shimla): Total 200 km, it's a 6-hour road trip.
Ample parking is available near the homestay. During winter it is recommended to bring a 4x4 with prior snow driving experience. There is also an option of hiring local taxis from the town.
