Shyamala Nair is not just the owner of this ancestral home in Kasargod, she is also one of the pioneers of hospitality in North Kerala. Travellers and locals have both been coming to Thalathoor to eat out of Shyamala’s hands even before it began functioning as a heritage homestay. The home has been with the family for the last 3 generations, and even had a school before in its compound, where the great grandfather of Mr. Nair taught the village kids fondly. There is a natural water body inside the property where a dip in its clear water is most enjoyed in the warm afternoons followed up by some tea and snacks in the verandah. Enjoy the traditional Malabar hospitality with engaging conversations with the host, and a cuisine from around the region as you take back lovely memories from the Thalathoor Heritage.
Room Overview:
The Thalathoor Heritage has two rooms on the first floor which can take in two people each. There is also a smaller room for a single person on the same floor. The entire home is a collection of local handicrafts and flower arrangements from the surrounding gardens.
The most spacious room in the house, The Royal Thamburan is defined by its ancestral character and soft natural light. The room features a comfortable bed, air-conditioning, and an attached bathroom, offering a quiet and restful stay.

Raahghar Payment Terms: Reservation is confirmed with an advance payment of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking. The balance payment is to be made 7 days prior to check-in.
Cancellation Policy (Indian Passport Holders Only):
In case of a cancellation due to any unforeseen circumstance a credit note will be issued by the property to the guest for the amount paid till date.
The credit note will be valid for use within one year from the period of booking. The guest can redeem the credit note against the amount of any future booking within a year and pay the balance if any as per the rates applicable on that date. This credit note is also transferable and can be used by the guest/transferee only once within the stipulated date.
