Sukrutham: Kerala Farmstay

Story

At Sukrutham in Thrissur, you discover life at a gentle pace. The homestay in Kerala is set in a quiet rural landscape, surrounded by paddy fields and coconut groves. Every detail here is shaped by nature, simplicity, and care.

The host, K P Murali, personally built Sukrutham with traditional Kerala design in mind after leaving a successful career in an MNC. Using laterite stone and mud plaster, he created a home that breathes with its surroundings. Murali is a storyteller, a guide, and a warm presence. Guests often remember their conversations with him as fondly as the stay itself.

The two rooms at Sukrutham, the Paddy Room and the Tapioca Room, are intimate, earthy, and filled with natural light. Handcrafted furniture and soft colors create a feeling of balance and ease.

Food is central to life at Sukrutham. Meals are cooked in a traditional Kerala style, using ingredients grown right on the farm. Guests eat on the verandah overlooking the fields, where each plate feels like an extension of the land. Cooking sessions are also an option for those who want to learn the art of simple, soulful Kerala food.
